Create one account per DJ
Create the broadcaster’s account in the AzuraCast DJ section. Give each person separate credentials and configure their schedule where needed. Share only the DJ login, rather than the station administrator password.
Use the connection details shown in the panel
Use BUTT, Mixxx, SAM Broadcaster, RadioBOSS or Web DJ. External software needs the server, port, username, password and mount point shown in the panel. Do not copy another station’s details or infer the DJ port from the public listening link.
Stay within the plan bitrate: Basic 128 kbps, Pro 192 and Premium 320. An unstable internet connection can interrupt audio even when the server is working; leave upload headroom and pause large uploads while broadcasting.
Test before the show
Keep an AutoDJ playlist active so there is content before and after the broadcast. Connect the DJ and use another device to verify the intended audio, a suitable level and no player feedback into the microphone.
- Check microphone, audio source and input level.
- Confirm that the panel shows the live DJ.
- Disconnect the DJ and verify that AutoDJ playlists resume.
If you want to retain the show
Configure available DJ recording after checking its storage capacity. To publish the show later as an episode, upload it to podcasts and add its metadata. That copy uses the podcast quota, separate from music and recordings.
When reporting a problem, include the software, time, error message and whether AutoDJ remains on air. Do not include passwords or private API keys.
