AutoDJ and podcasts: organize your audio and storage

Learn which AzuraCast library each file uses, how to publish episodes and how to avoid unnecessary copies across music, podcasts and recordings.

Radio en Línea ·

Choose the library for the audio’s purpose

Upload a song, jingle or show to media and assign it to an AutoDJ playlist when it should enter your broadcast schedule. Publish an episode in podcasts when you want people to listen later. DJ recordings use another location: recording a show does not automatically publish an episode.

GB measures disk storage, not RAM or audience capacity. Keeping a show as both a music file and an episode creates two copies, each using its own library.

Storage included with each plan

Radio Basic includes 5 GB of music and 1 GB extra for podcasts. Radio Pro includes 10 GB and 2 GB; Radio Premium, 15 GB and 5 GB. Music and podcast quotas are separate.

Available duration depends on format, bitrate and the size of the original files. Streaming bitrate does not reduce uploaded file size. Check the recording storage meter separately before enabling that feature.

Publish useful episode information

Create the show in the podcast library with its name, description and artwork. Add each episode’s file and publishing information. Use titles that describe the topic and descriptions that explain who the episode helps.

Share the page and RSS feed generated by the panel. Check external apps and directories before submitting; having a feed does not guarantee acceptance. Keep the necessary rights for music, interviews and images.

  • Listen before publishing and check that the file is complete.
  • Review title, description, artwork and publication date.
  • Check that the episode and RSS open without a panel login.

Free space while keeping an external backup

Keep your own backup before deleting audio you need to retain. Check whether it is used by an active playlist or published episode. Deleting the wrong file can remove audio from that schedule or episode.

You administer station content and configuration; we maintain the platform. If usage looks wrong or an upload fails, open a ticket with the library name and error, without sending login credentials.
