How do you play?

The bot asks a question in the channel and gives hints little by little. The first person to type the right answer scores points, and the bot keeps a leaderboard of the top players.

Which language are the questions in?

Spanish or English, whichever you prefer. If you have your own questions, send them to us and we load them on your bot.

What is an Eggdrop?

It's one of the oldest and most widely used IRC bots, in development since 1993: stable, lightweight and extensible with Tcl scripts. Your bot is a real Eggdrop running on our server, not a program on your computer.

Can the bot identify its nick?

Yes. If the bot's nick is registered on the network, you enter its password and your network's identify command (for example /msg NickServ IDENTIFY) in the order, and the bot identifies itself every time it connects.

Do you charge a setup or maintenance fee?

No. There's no initial setup fee and no maintenance charges: you only pay for the period you choose.

How does the bot's AI work?

It's optional. Your users ask the bot in the channel and it answers with AI. We install and configure it at no extra cost, but AI usage is on you: you create your own API key with an AI provider (for example OpenAI) and pay them directly for what you use. We recommend setting a spending limit in your provider account.

Which IRC networks does it work on?

On IRC networks that allow bots, following each network's rules. Some networks limit games or rapid messages in their channels; check your network's rules.

Can I have it alongside the radio bot?

Yes. They're two separate bots, each with its own monthly price, and they can be in the same channel.

What uptime do you offer?

Our servers offer 99.9% monthly uptime. This service also depends on the IRC network where the bot runs: a failure or disconnection on their end affects it until it is resolved, which is outside our control.

Are there discounts?

Yes: 3% when paying 3 months, 5% for 6 months and 10% for a full year.

Conditions of this service

You accept them in your order. They are part of our terms of service.

  • Every order is subject to review before it is activated. If it doesn't meet these terms we may reject it, and if an active service stops meeting them we may suspend or cancel it. We'll let you know by email. If we reject an order before activating it, we refund what you paid.
  • Each order is one Eggdrop bot on one IRC network, in the channels you give us. It uses a shared IPv4 address and doesn't include its own vhost.
  • We only connect it to networks that allow bots. You check that your network and your channels accept it.
  • Clones, flooding, spam, ban evasion, attacks, channel takeovers and using the bot to control other bots are not allowed.
  • We install Tcl scripts that we review and find safe. We may refuse to install, or remove, a script that puts the server or other customers at risk.
  • AI is optional: we install it for free, but its usage and API key are on you, under the AI provider's terms. We're not responsible for its charges, limits or answers.
  • On the trivia bot, you're responsible for the content of any questions you send us.
  • Bots and ZNC run from IPv4 addresses shared with other customers and have no setup or maintenance fees.
  • We are not responsible if an IRC network or Telegram rejects, limits or blocks the connection (for example because of its rules on bots, bouncers or shared IPs).
  • SSL depends on the IRC server supporting it, and the connection to each network is not guaranteed.
  • Misuse (spam, flooding, attacks, ban evasion or breaking a network's rules) may lead to cancellation of the service.
